Okay, so in keeping with my previous post, I have a lot of cleaning to do. One thing in particular I have a lot of are t-shirts. From sports teams to summer camp to old jobs to freebies, I have a ton of shirts that I simply don't wear. Now, one could argue that I can wear them to work out in. Yes, fine, but how often do I really work out? (Answer: occasionally). And if you follow me on Pinterest, you know that I both A: endlessly pin cute workout clothes and B: would prefer to work out in ways that involve team sports, water, or snow. The current "workout" clothes I have fit neither of these parameters, but I can't buy something without getting rid of something else. I'm holding onto all of these shirts for sentimental purposes when in reality if I hadn't bothered to clean the darkest depths of my room, I would have never remembered they were there. In order to both preserve these sentiments and get rid of things in my closet (because let's be honest, how many tshirt quilts am I really going to want/use?), I'm dedicating this blog post to these shirts in case I ever want to reminisce. There is absolutely no order to any of this.
Camp tees when I was a counselor! Alexander was my favorite kid and he turned 6 on the last day of camp. Close 2nd place favorites were Jai and Tej, two adorable Indian brothers ages 6 and 8. 3rd place would probably be Miriam, Ella, and Samuel. All of my babies should be starting middle school this year!!!
I played Urleen in Footloose, the stage production of it. We went to Bomont High and basically I sat on stage wearing this, micro shorts, and leg warmers and gossiped.
First job ever! I was a cashier at The Brown Bag, a deli/sandwich/salad place in Bethesda. So delish!
I also ran a 7k in Madrid. Carrera de la Mujer, a woman's race. Basically I along with tons of other women of all ages paid to torture ourselves (and support women's health campaigns).
Super senior year I participated in Relay for Life!
Front.
Back.
Freebie from my SEE friend, Matt (who if you're reading this: hello! Miss you!!)
UMD freebie. I actually do have Geico insurance.
Neon shirts and khaki pants. I was a costume intern way back when at Six Flags America and I loved the people I worked with. The Entertainment group is on point.
I played soccer from 3rd grade (or was it 2nd?) until 12th grade, so there's a theme here....
Look at that collar!
Flames!!
I always forget I worked for CVS for a couple months, but here is a healthy reminder.
EXPLOSION!!!! My favorites!
We were sportsmanship winners!!
My soccer team was fortunate enough to have a chance to travel and play in Ireland!
We were consistently sportsmanship winners of the league!!! Also, Vamos United!!
I was the hostess with mostest.
Hardy-har!
Unsure of what season this is from...
Unlimited freckled lemonades + garlic fries for daysssssss. Also, all about that Love Burger.
Devil's spit sauce is where it's at.
True life: this shirt still smells like old barbecue and smoked meat. Yum!
Look at me an my little laxin' self! #getgood
I didn't actually go to these. But I think the padre did? Or the grandmadre. Someone got me this shirt...
HotShots!
Proudly rocking number 13.
Hahahaha at all of my attempts to play basketball, including this one my junior year of high school.
All about that jersey life. Also, I really like deBeer.
That time we had to change from being the Poolesville Indians to the Poolesville Falcons.
JPMS!
Lax lax baby!
Graduation tee that I forgot about. I also never opened it to wear it and I found that c/o 2008 mint rolled inside. I wonder if it's still edible...
Update: no. It smells weird.
The greatest!
So many basketball attempts.
You best believe I have an embroidered jersey.
Always.
I went there for a year, so this is legit. Also, I really like the simple, bold typeface.
You don't associate with freshmen.
My soccer coaching days of yore.
Well, we did. This was when the boys were jealous that girls made/planned better senior days, so we did one for our senior boys.
The boys. (I actually still wear this shirt a surprising amount.)
Student designed Footloose shirt.
The quote on the back is always a line from the play. We (majority of the cast) wanted to do "That's one bitchin' story!", but we were overruled (by our director).
Senior Week marker party. Also became a No-Pants party and everyone was instructed to "drop your pants at the door".
IDK if I can even throw this nonsense out..
CIT with the teen center. Meaning I didn't get paid, but still ran around and went on field trips and pretended like I was semi-responsible.
So true. Except I would also probably replace "animals" with "the planet" or "the environment". Also, I just really don't like the font choices. This was poorly designed and I have not worn it.
Another SEE freebie.
I did not attend this.
This shirt is actually falling apart because I've worn it so much. Love it!! Also, they came up with the wickedly clever game BGSA. Honestly, it's fun and great. Remind me and let's play sometime!
I did not make this, which is why it turned it so well.. Ha!
Another fave shirt!!
All about the lax.
I want to say Explosion...
Welp! Maybe not! Loved the sleeveless jersey though!!
LIVED in this sweatshirt.
Worlds greatest.
I have the shirt, but not the piece of paper. Does that count? (In all seriousness, I lived Maryland and all the people I met there as well as the people I met at NYU. GO TERPS!)
We run this.
Speaking of running....
I thought I was cool. Lord, help me.
The beast strikes again! Smells less like BBQ than my shirt did...
Vintage lax jersey. I actually really like this.
Sleepaway (is that one word?) group soccer camp.
The STD's!!! We were the best. "The more we swear in peacetime, the less we bleed in WAR."
Awwwww, baby's first rec league when she moved to Poolesville!!!!
Were we the Yellow Jackets or the Stingers?? We went through some name changes...
You don't know Halloween until you make a monster. FrightFest at Six Flags America is the place to be!
Siiiiiiiiick.
I only wore jeans and sweatshirts. I've change slightly, but this is still my go to outfit.
How typical.
I got this shirt in 5th grade and it still goes down to mid-thigh on me.
Rocked that Junior Ref job!!
I was an officer patrol and I got to go to camp for it! Seriously was the coolest thing. Also, I got an electric yellow belt aaaaand I got to keep it and my pins!
This was and still is a very great jacket. #tbt to my first ever Classic team. Go HotShots!
You know it. Honestly only wore sports jackets/shirts/sweatshirts and jeans.
